Four innovative startups from Edinburgh Napier University have successfully advanced to the next phase of the Santander X UK Awards 2023 in the university category. The Santander X UK Awards 2023 is an exciting opportunity for university and early-stage startups to showcase their innovative businesses. In its 13th year, this competition has consistently supported budding entrepreneurs and provided over £900,000 in equity-free funding to startups and small businesses in the UK.
This year's competition features two categories: University, for new businesses looking to launch, and Startup, for businesses ready to scale. For the first time, the Startup category is open to entrepreneurs from all backgrounds, not just university-based startups.
The four Edinburgh Napier startups, LU Innovations, Mude and Lasting Asset Ltd, are now among the 100 shortlisted businesses gearing up for the pitching stage. They will participate in a two-day expert-led bootcamp, honing their business acumen and preparing for the final selection.
The final selection pitches, a high-stakes part of the competition, will be held at the iconic KIA Oval in London. This stage represents a chance for these startups to further advance in the competition.
