At Bright Red Triangle, we offer free lifelong enterprise support to Edinburgh Napier University’s staff, students, and alumni, helping them develop enterprise skills, boost entrepreneurial activity, and capture opportunities.
We are delighted to extend our enterprise services to the students, staff, and alumni of Queen Margaret University and Edinburgh College.
As a member of the BRT community, you will have access to a wide range of benefits designed to support your entrepreneurial journey:
BRT Community
Join a vibrant community of inspiring people and businesses. Make meaningful connections that drive you and your ideas forward. As a member, you have access to a range of resources, including our resource bank, member groups, and a calendar of events, workshops, and programming.
Free lifelong advice
Our enterprise managers provide mentorship, share insights, and support you throughout your entrepreneurial journey. For guidance, useful connections, or to bounce ideas, book an appointment here. We will also connect you with our entrepreneurs in residence, and other relevant patners and connections to guide you.
Collaborative workspace
Our start up studio provides a welcoming environment where our community can come together to connect, develop enterprise skills, and collaborate on exciting new projects and ventures as well as form valuable relationships with the wider entrepreneurial community in Edinburgh.

1Register with us
To begin, visit our registration page at https://brt.startium.co.uk/home and click "Join Startium" at the bottom of the page.
2Create your account
Select the User Type that matches you:
Students — Choose “Student.”
(Includes QMU and EC students — please ignore any message suggesting otherwise.)
Alumni/Staff — Select “Alumni/Staff” (Includes QMU/ EC)
Community — Select “Community” if you’re engaging as part of the wider network.
Use an email you check regularly — it doesn’t have to be academic.
3Add your details
QMU / EC Students or Staff: When asked for your ENU School or Course, select “N/A.” You can add your QMU or EC affiliation later in your profile.
Community Members: When asked about your connection, if non of the below options suit. Please proceed by selecting “Support Recipient.”
Support Recipient: We’re getting business advice, mentoring, or other support from the university or one of its programmes.
Portfolio Company: We’re a university spin-out or a business the university has invested in.
Current Tenant: We’re based at the BRT co-working space or rent space from the university.
4Tell Us About Your Entrepreneurial Stage
You don’t need a business idea to join.
If you’re exploring or just looking for opportunities, select “Ideation.”
You can also choose to receive our newsletter and agree to our T&Cs.
5Verify & Get Started
Check your email for a PIN to verify your account, then log in and complete your profile.
Add a photo, short bio, and your QMU / EC details if applicable in your description.
Finally, explore the dashboard and book a 1:1 meeting with an Enterprise Manager to discover available support and opportunities.
