Case Study: Tess Watt – Founder of Techie Tessie

Tess Watt, also known as Techie Tessie, is the founder of a thriving YouTube community dedicated to teaching coding in a variety of languages. As a BRT ambassador, Tess has actively promoted BRT’s services and supported events, building a strong community around her business.

BRT’s Support:
Tess credits BRT for playing a pivotal role in her entrepreneurial journey.

anytime access to advisors and the community. This support has been instrumental in developing my business ideas," she says.

"They helped me practice my pitching skills, which ultimately led to securing funding, find a virtual office, create advertisements, and even host an event at their
Startup Studio."

Achievements:

Over the past year, Tess’s biggest achievement has been being shortlisted as a finalist at the 2024 UK Startup Awards and the 2024 Great British Entrepreneur Awards. These recognitions have placed Techie Tessie on the map, showcasing her work in empowering individuals worldwide to learn coding.

Next Steps:
Tess is focused on expanding her team, with plans to recruit Mandarin and Arabic-speaking instructors to help teach coding to an even broader international audience. This next phase of growth will allow Techie Tessie to support more students around the world, helping them develop the skills to succeed in the tech industry.
